Chill open with shutout.

ATTLEBORO – Chill Hockey Club made it a good start to the 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup on Friday evening when they won their tournament opener by freezing out the opposing offense in a 5-0 shutout victory over Hockey Development 360 at New England Sports Village.

While Tyler King got the start in net and keep things closed all contest long, the Chill offense got going with three goals in the first. Chase Ullrich scored twice and Mark Schaefer once to put their side up 3-0 at the break.

The Chill offense kept going in the second, adding another pair. Caden Dabrowski and Andrew Martin this time with the Chill goals to bring about the 5-0 final.

Ullrich (2G), Schaefer (1G, 1A) and Cole Bradford (2A) all finished with two points in leading the Chill offense.

King was credited with the shutout.
