WALPOLE – In a midday affair on Day 2 of the 2015 Junior Chowder Cup, the New England Crows posted a 5-1, ’00 division win over DPH at Rodman Arena.
A scoreless tie was broken just past the midpoint of the first when DPH defenseman Vincent Cirillo put his side up with a shorthanded goal at 17:13. They had gained the game’s first lead and it lasted into the second half, but Cirillo’s score was the brightest of the few bright spots in the remaining three-quarters contest for DPH.
On the power play early in the second half, the man advantage ended in a much more favorable fashion this time around for the Crows as Anthony Quinlivan notched the equalizer to draw the score even at 4:44. The Crows then took the lead at 10:14 on an Ethan Zarach-Croke goal and never looked back, piling on three more to complete their 5-1 victory.
Four Crows ended the game having registered multiple points, Anthony and Liam Quinlivan, Brendan Shandley and Dylan McNally all finishing with a goal and an assist in the win. Corey Splanie backstopped the victory for the Crows.
