FOXBORO – CWE (RED) opened their stay at the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win on Thursday morning. They defeated NorthStar Elite (’09 AAA) 4-2 in ’09 division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Most the game’s offense was saved until its later stage as CWE’s Ben Kucherwary’s goal at 17:31 of the first was the only tally of the opening stanza.
The low scoring tilt of the first half became an offensive explosion in the second.
CWE and NorthStar traded goals early, leaving things tied 2-2 by the middle of the second half, before CWE pulled away late.
Marc Antoine restored their lead on his score at 16:24, before Sid Dobbie tacked on the insurance goal with 6:34 remaining to solidify the 4-2 victory.
Xavier St. Louis was credited as the game’s winning netminder.
Jack Doddrell and Alex Belfoure were credited with the NorthStar goals.
