FOXBORO – The East Coast Kings made it a clean sweep through their preliminary round of the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with their third victory of the tournament on Saturday morning. They defeated Bloom Hockey 8-3 in ’09 Elite division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Little time was wasted by the Kings in putting their foes away. East Coast hopped on Bloom at the start, ringing up a 5-0 lead before the game was even five minutes old. By the end of the first it was 6-2.
The Kings bested Bloom in the second half as well, this by a margin of 2-1 to round out the 8-3 final and solidify their position for Sunday’s playoff round with a perfect 3-0-0 record.
East Coast’s eight goals came from seven different skaters. Cam Simon (2G) and Landon Brawn (1G, 1A) led the attack, each credited with a two-point contest.
Aiden Novotgny, Miko Lessard and Vaughn Gagnon were credited with the Bloom goals.
Kings netminder Julian Herrara finished the preliminary round credited with a 3-0-0 record and two shutouts.
