FOXBORO – Little Rhody Hockey Club ’06 opened their stint at the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup with a convincing win on Thursday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center. They defeated CWE Elite 5-1.
The victors jumped on things from the start, Little Rhody running up a 3-0 lead in the first half. Two for Antonio Lombari and one from Sam Lopes accounting for the scores.
CWE did get themselves on the board in the second with a Sammy DiGaetano goal, but Lombari completed his hattrick and Joseph DeCesare scored as well to cement Little Rhody’s 5-1 victory.
Lombardi (3G, 1A) also added an assist to his total to run it to a four-point game, the only score with multiple points in the contest.
