CANTON – The Mustangs made easy work of the North Shore Shamrocks Friday afternoon at the Canton Ice House. They coasted to an 8-0 win in the 2010 division match-up.
It took a bit of time for the Mustang offense to get going, but once it did, it became a force that was hard to stop.
They led 1-0 early on a goal from Teddy Kowalchick, but once the game pasted the midpoint of the first half is when things began to roll.
Jameson Husk and Will Taylor each scored twice in the latter half of the opening frame to send the Mustangs into the break leading 5-0.
Out of the break, there were three more goals to be had. Husk completed the hattrick, while Finn Davies and Luke Suter each contributed a goal to round out the scoring and the 5-0 final.
Husk had an assist to go with his three goals for a four-point showing. Taylor (2G), Pat Sadlon (2A) and Blake Delmonico (2A) all also had multiple points in the victory.
Goaltender Teddy Pemberton was credited with the shutout.
