FOXBORO – The Connecticut Jr. Rangers scored a decisive 2008 Elite division win on Friday morning when they defeated CHE (Blue) 9-1 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Sebastian Ball got things going early in the first with the game’s opening goal. A goal that saw the Rangers take a 1-0 lead. A lead that grew to 3-1 by period’s end.
Despite their control in the first, the Rangers were even more dominant in the second. They rung up another six scores to triple their total and put away the decisive victory.
Eight different Rangers were credited with multiple points in the contest. Five of those tied atop the leaderboard with three points: Ball (2G, 1A), Luis Giannattasio (1G, 2A), Daniel Raff-Cohen (1G, 2A), Vladislav Ivlev (1G, 2A) and Nikita Bogatyrev (3A).
Tyler Donroe notched the win, locking things down in the Rangers net.
