Roc City over Eels in offensive affair.

ATTLEBORO – There were goals aplenty between Roc City Elite and the Eels when they met on Thursday morning at the New England Sports Village, an ’07 division matchup on the opening day of the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup. It was a barnburner that resulted in a 9-5 victory for Roc City.

The real fireworks came in the second, but there were still plenty of goals in the first. A combined five that resulted in a 3-2 Roc City lead at the break.

Roc City doubled their scoring output in the second half, putting away six more in the game’s latter half. The Eels bettered their goal total in the frame as well, dropping another three to round out the 9-5 final.

Four for Roc City posted multiple points in the offensive showing. Seamus Howard led the way with four goals in the contest and was aided by multipoint showings from William Press (3A), Zander Green (2G) and Riley Akins (2A).

It was a more balanced attack for the Eels, each of their five goals coming from a different scorer. Andrew Dominic Rocha, Logan Spykerman, Drew Kandes, Everett Bosak and Wyatt Versfelt all finding their names in the goal column.
