CANTON – After falling in their first game on Thursday, West Coast Elite rallied for their first win of the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup on Friday morning. They defeated the Tribe 3-1 at the Canton Ice House.
The scoreless contest was broken past the midpoint of the first with West Coast taking their first steps towards victory. A each goal from Tommy Filidore and Josef Bauer making it a 2-0 contest at the break.
West Coast’s attack struck early in the second half on a Braydon Waters goal just over a minute it to give them a three-goal cushion. Owen Mumm got the Tribe on the scoreboard late the game, but there were no more goals to be had as goaltender Aiden Biswanger closed out the 3-1 victory.
