Western Canada rules over North America, 6-2.

FOXBORO – Western Canada Selects opened their second day of play at the 2019 Bob Crocker Jr. Chowder Cup with their second win of the tournament. It was a 6-2 victory over Team North America on Friday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center.

It did not take long Western Canada to start their assault. They had a 2-0 lead less than three minutes into the contest on goals by Sebastian Speck (0:25) and Jaxon Grosdidier (2:20). A Danny Carroll goal from Team North America broke things up, but merely served as the meat in a Western Canada sandwich as they went on to score another pair before the first’s conclusion to take a 4-1 lead into the half.

The second was a little more contested, but still played to a one-goal margin in favor of Western Canada. It was 2-1 in the frame, accounting for the 6-2 final.

Speck and Grosdidier both finished with two goals in the contest, but were tied as the game’s top point getters with teammates Logan Wright and Hudson Dinapoli, each of whom had a pair of assists.

Maximus Richards was credited with the second half goal for Team North America.
