Wranglers roll Selects in shutout win.

FOXBORO – The RELM Wranglers put an exclamation point on their near perfect run through the preliminary round of the 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup on Saturday evening. They closed out their 2009 division slate going 2-0-1 following a 9-0 defeat of NH Selects at the Foxboro Sports Center.

RELM was all over their opponent from the start, getting the scoring going just a few minutes after the game’s opening face-off. There was little letting up along the way as the Wranglers amassed a 4-0 first half lead.

Though those four goals would have been enough, the Wranglers bettered their performance in the second, piling in another five to leave no doubt in their victory.

Nine skaters ended up credited with at least a point in the contest, four with two or more. Cooper Dzierniejko ended as the game’s leading scorer, totaling four goals and an assist. Hunter Chase (2G, 1A) and Jaden Leach (3A) each put up a three-point showing, and Jack Gordanier finished the contest with a pair of goals.

Lucas Kahlen was credited with the shutout in the RELM net.
