CANTON – Looking to stay perfect through the preliminary round of the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup, the Boston Jr. Blues took to the Canton Ice House on Saturday morning and posted a 4-1 win over Team Maryland.
A tight contest through one saw just Boston defender Michael Hussy make his way into the scoring column with a goal at 9:05 of the frame.
The Blues’ lead was extended to 2-0 on an unassisted goal by Rowan Aggarwal in the second half. Roman Villegas got Maryland on the board and back to within one with his score at 18:21, but a pair of closing minute goals put the game away for Boson.
Evan Zhang and Sam Caulfield split the victorious goaltending duties.
