Strong start paces Coaches Choice over EHG.

FOXBORO – It was a dominant first half that paced Coaches Choice Elite Black in their 9-5, Jr. Chowder Cup victory over EHG ’06 on Friday at the Foxboro Sports Center.

Coaches Choice came out with a goal by Jake Wiltrout in the opening minute and never looked back en route to victory. EHG did score twice in the opening frame – including a Luke Sansobrino goal about five minutes in that made it 2-1 at the time – but Coaches Choice put on a clinic with six to go to the locker room with a four-goal cushion.

That four-goal cushion remained throughout the final horn as both sides tallied three in the latter frame, finalizing things at a workman-like 9-5.

Kevin Leary led Coaches Choice and the contest in scoring, credited with four points (2G, 2A). Wiltrout (3G), Ryan Spinale (1G, 2A) and Mick Keogan (1A, 1A) also had multiple points in the contest for the victors.

Joseph Delaurentis and Joey Anderson both had three points for EHG, each credited with two goals and an assist.
