Top Shelf top Universal.

FOXBORO – Top Shelf Hockey closed out their preliminary round of the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win on Saturday afternoon. They defeated Universal Prospect 5-1 in ’09 Elite division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.

It was a scoreless contest until just before the middle of the first half when Ethan Gingeleskie kicked of a run of three-straight goals for Top Shelf. A power play goal by Universal’s Simon Delarosbil sent the game to the intermission with Top Shelf out if front 3-1.

That is where the score remained until late in the second half when Top Shelf’s special teams contributed a pair of goals to round out the final score. A power play goal by Jason Segal at 19:43 made it 4-1. A shorthanded score from Gingeleskie at 21:11 brought about the 5-1 final.

Gingeleskie (3G), Segal (1G, 2A) and Kanata Mori (3A) all finished the game credited with three points in the victory.

Christian Capone was credited with his third win of the tournament in the Top Shelf net.
