ATTLEBORO – Buzzards Bay Elite finished out their preliminary round at the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with a sizeable victory on Saturday morning. They defeated Boston Hockey Club 9-1 in 2009 division play at the New England Sports Village.
Despite the comfortable margin in the end, the game was tight through the opening half. Buzzards Bay got a goal in the closing seconds of the period to take just a 2-0 lead into the intermission. First half goals coming from Jake DaSilva and Jake Rotchford.
In the second half, however, Buzzards Bay’s offense took off. They struck for an astounding eight tallies in the frame to more than solidify their victory.
Rotchford’s performance took center stage in the contest. He had a second half hattrick to go along with his first half score, finishing with a game-high in points and goals with four scores on the contest.
Dylan Dicioccio and Richard Cooke also had multiple points in the victory, each credited with a goal and an assist.
James Murray was credited with the lone Boston goal in the second half.
