Crows take Roc City to open their 2019 Chowder Cup with win.

CANTON – In the first game of New England Pro Am Hockey’s 2019 Bob Crocker Jr. Chowder Cup to be started at the Canton Ice House, the New England Crows took down Roc City Elite Black in 2004 Division play.

It was a strong start to the tournament and the game for the Crows. They piled on three in the first half for a hat trick’s advantage heading into the break. A power play goal for Jack McDermolt and a pair of goals for Anthony Rosa making it 3-0.

The Crows went on to up their advantage to 5-0 as the second half got underway with another goal from McDermolt and one from Dom Lamposano.

Despite their sizable deficit, Roc City did not give in, but made a comeback bid late.  A power play goal from Aiden Ryan and an additional score from Elliott Kranyik accounted for back-to-back goals that put Roc City on the board. The rally brought the score to 5-2 at 20:16, but that is where it remained through the game’s conclusion.

Andy Falvey was credited with his first win in net for the tournament by backstopping the Crows’ end.
