CANTON – Nest Hockey Academy made it two ’09 Elite division wins in two games at the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup on Friday afternoon. They defeated Gotta Hockey 3-0 at the Canton Sportsplex.
It was a tight contest throughout, Nest unable to pull away until late. They held just a meager 1-0 advantage through the first half on a Xandyr Nelson goal.
Nest gained a little breathing room on an early second half goal from Kelvin Hood, but the goaltending battle between Nest’s Alexi Richard and Gotta Hockey’s Jackson Green left little margin for error.
Gavin Wagner added some extra insurance for Nest when he made it 3-0 near the midpoint of the second half. A lead that lasted throughout.
