CANTON – Performance Hockey Group and Rapid Hockey Quebec started off their 2007 Elite division stay at the 2023 Jr. Chowder Cup with a draw. The two sides played to an even 5-5 split on Thursday evening at the Canton Ice House.
Each side won a half in amounting to the 5-5 final. The first of which went to Performance, who it 2-1 on the strength of Tomas Drienik and Dylan Taylor goals. Matheo Piccinni netted the goal in the first for Rapid.
Rapid then took control out of the break, winning the game’s latter frame by a 4-3 margin to finalize the 5-5 score.
It was two points apiece for Brady Logue (1G, 1A) and Dylan Chernoff (2A) to lead the Performance offense.
Leo Moser (1G, 2A) led the game and the Quebec offense with a three-point showing in the contest.
