CANTON – Team Real Speed Elite notched an ’06 division win on Friday night when they defeated Roc City Elite 3-1 at the Canton Ice House.
Real Speed set their sights on victory early. They got first half goals from Jack Welby and AJ Songini and strong goaltending from Christopher Dakers to give themselves a 2-0 halftime lead.
They upped their advantage to 3-0 on Welby’s second early in the second. Roc City looked to jump back into things late and got on the scoreboard with a Cameron Pasquin goal at 22:12, but it was the only blemish to Dakers performance as Real Speed held their lead for the 3-1 win.
