FOXBORO – The BMG opened their 2008 Elite division stay at the 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win on Thursday afternoon. They defeated SC United 3-2 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
It was a tightly contested match throughout. Just a lone goal scored in the game’s opening half. That tally was credited to Preston Kelly-Paquet and gave BMG a 1-0 advantage.
Brody Najim extended BMG’s lead to 2-0 on a goal at 4:42 of the second.
Benjamin Craddock got United on the board at 7:03 of the second, but they were never able to catch their foe as the two sides traded goals near the midpoint of the game’s latter half to round out the 3-2 final.
Jake Saldanha went down as the victorious netminder for BMG.
