CANTON – The Boston Knights hung three aside en route to their 6-3 victory over GPA Prospects on Saturday at the Canton Ice House.
It was the Knights in the end, but it was GPA that was first on the scoreboard, a Dylan Muldowney goal coming at 3:52 of the first. It was a short-lived lead, however, as the Knights responded with their first of the game just a half minute later, Jonnie Garmey bringing the game back to even 1-1.
The Knights struck twice more to make it 3-1 at the half. Garmey extended the lead to 4-1 early in the second and from there the two sides traded goals the rest of the way, culminating in the 6-3 final in favor of Boston.
Caiden Brady tucked home three of the Knights goals, but it was teammate Nolan Russell who orchestrated the offense, finishing the game credited with five assists.
Braden Kozlowski paced the GPA offense with a goal and an assist.
