ATTLEBORO – A slow start turned into a hot finish as Mobile Hockey Development started their 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win on Thursday morning. They defeated the Eels 5-1 in ’09 division play at New England Sports Village in Attleboro.
The first half both started and finished 0-0. Mobile goaltender Logan Moulton and Eels counterpart Everett Clarke thwarting every bid thrown their way in the game’s opening 25 minutes.
It was a much different story in the second half as offenses erupted. Mobile’s at least. They lit the lamp five times in the frame. Kinno Zhu and Owen CLoney each scored twice, and Braedyn Hart once as Mobile rolled to victory.
Adam Lubig was credited with the lone Eels goal, coming late in the second when they already trailed by five.
