WALPOLE – JCR Elite made it two wins in two days at the 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup. They notched that second win by defeating Omega Hockey 6-1 Friday evening at Cadillac Arena in Walpole.
Four first period goals fueled JCR’s victory. Ares Miller and Jack Pitts each had a pair of goals while netminder Owen Maclean kept Omega off the board to send the game to the intermission with JCR leading 4-0.
Omega got to Maclean in the second with an Austin Glazer goal, but it was the only time in the contest the JCR goalie yielded.
JCR rounded out their victory with second half goals from Zachary Dix and Will Burns that brought about the 6-1 final.
Pitts had an assist to go with his two first period goals to finish with a game-high three points.
