FOXBORO – Coaches Choice posted the win to close out their opening round slate at the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup. They defeated Rapid Hockey Development 5-2 in ’06 Elite division play on Saturday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Luke Pazzia got the scoring started early, his goal less than two minutes in putting Coaches Choice up 1-0. Wagner Carrel then doubled the lead just before the half, sending the game to the break with Coaches Choice leading 2-0.
Rapid started the scoring in the second and drew the game back to even on a power play goal from Johnathan Bell and another from Canaan Li.
With the game tied at 2-2, Carrel and Pazzia went back to work, each scoring another to re-establish Coaches Choice’s two-goal advantage. Brendan Tighe then hammered home the victory with a power play goal of his own to bring things to their 5-2 final.
