ATTLEBORO – The Skylands Kings brought the first day of play at the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup to a close with a win on Thursday night at the New England Sports Village. They defeated the Florida Eels Black 3-1 in ’05 division play.
Florida started the scoring on a Christopher Erasmus goal at 6:19 of the first half, but it was the Kings who had the lead at halftime. Skylands got goals from Robby Myshkoff and Brendan Boudreau to close out the frame and take a 2-1 lead into the locker room.
The tight game from the first got even tighter in the second. An Owen Lapinksi goal was the only one on the scoresheet, which pushed the Kings lead to two and set the game at its 3-1 final.
