FOXBORO – The Rochester Vegas Tanks made for an impressive start to Day 2 of the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup on Friday morning. They dismantled the US Express 5-0 in 2010 Division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Rochester set the tone early, Champ Bucholtz scoring in the game’s opening minutes to put his side up 1-0. A 1-0 lead that grew to 2-0 later in the frame on a Caden Shamp goal.
With two in the bank and netminder Caleb Longley keeping the Tanks’ cage on lockdown, Rochester had more than enough. That did not stop them from besting their goal total in the second half.
Joey Mathes, Alex Gonzalez and James Wattie all credited with a second half goal for the Tanks to cap off the 5-0 victory.
