WALPOLE – The TCB Hockey Hound Dogs opened their 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup with a 7-3 win on Thursday afternoon at Cadillac Arena in Walpole. They defeated Power Play Hockey in 2009 division play.
It was an offensive flex from the start for TCB, as they piled up the goals in the first half, assuming a 4-1 lead by the intermission. Things were more balanced in the second, TCB scoring thrice to Power Play’s twice to bring about the game’s 7-3 final.
Kane Astra and Blaise Radil led the Hound Dogs attack, each credited with a pair of goals in the contest. Liam Young, Tyrone Sperling and Yinshuo Gao were each credited with a goal for Power Play.
Benjamin Grant went down as the game’s winning netminder.
