Team North America starts Day 3 just right.

FOXBORO – It is the final day of preliminary round play at the 2019 Bob Crocker Jr. Chowder Cup and Team North America ’03 started it off just about as well as they could. They hung an 8-2 victory on Boston Hockey Club White at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The first half was a tightly contested one. Team North America started things off with a shorthanded goal at 1:33 and things went back-and-forth from there as the half was tied 2-2 at its conclusion.

During the halftime break, Team North America seemingly woke up from the early morning ice time and exploded in the second half. They tripled their offense from the first, pouring in six more scores, while goaltender Daniel Leger stood tall in net to block every shot that came in the direction of the North America net. The game concluded with a score of 6-2.

Austin Rye finished with the game’s lead in points, credited with five in the contest (2G, 3A). Tucker Shields (2G), Caden Kekewich (1G, 1A), Gaetz Barrie (1G, 1A) and Brennan Boyce (2A) also had multiple points in the game for Team North America.
