BRAINTREE – Top Speed Hockey made easy work of the Eels (White) on Saturday morning at Thayer Academy. They took home the 8-2 win in 2008 division play at the 2023 Jr. Chowder Cup.
Right from the start, Top Speed was in control. Will Hubbell scored in the game’s first minute, the first goal of a Top Speed run that saw them amass a 5-1 advantage through the game’s opening period.
The assault continued in the second as Top Speed ran off three more to grow their lead to 8-1. The Eels cut into things with a shorthanded goal by Aiden Bastek, but it was not the start of a comeback, rather the final goal to be scored in the 8-2 final.
Harry Lundgren led the Top Speed offense with a four-goal outing. Hubbell had two assists to go with his game opening goal for a three-point contest.
